Job Highlights

To provide engineering support to molding operation to achieve yield improvement and cycle time reduction.  To drive continuous improvement program to improve product margin to ensure products exceed Customer’s specification at lowest cost, with compliance to ISO14001, IATF16949 and VDA6.3 requirement to achieve total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Define operating instructions as guideline for production to follow
• To improve product yield and cycle time
• Define mold setup for new product tooling, mold maintenance if mold requires special approach and provide appropriate training for technician
• Drive cost reduction program via yield improvement and cycle time reduction without impact to quality
• Support daily production activity when there are issues during SQ buyoff or setup of any mold
• Responsible in mold testing and product development
• Responsible to introduce and improve jig and fixture to fail safe production process
• Work with CQE and Secondary Process Engineer to provide disposition for non-conformance product is isolated
• To initiate training program for immediate staff to improve productivity efficiency and cost saving
• Responsible on optimizing process parameter to ensure process stability
• Provide 8D support for customer rejects with detailed root cause analysis corrective action and preventive action to be provided.  Thereafter validation of corrective actions to be done to ensure effectiveness
• Provide solution on problematic molds or processes
• Maximize utilization of machine capability to maintain stability of processes
• Provide documentation change for ECN and provide appropriate training to production on respective change feature and disposition of parts before EC
• To qualify new material in terms of process ability/manufacturability
• To recommend specification or criteria change with justification to customer via Program Engineer
• To reject or approve any rework method if necessary
• Ensure compliance with legal, customer and QEHS management system requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering
• Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC tools, 8D, ISO 14001, IATF16949, VDA6.3 is advantageous
• Knowledge of MS Office, Molding machine optimization
• Ability to relocate and communicate well to both internal and external customers
• A team player, independence , self-driven and self motivated
• Result oriented and leadership ability
